There are many things to do in winter at Old Sturbridge Village! From relaxing winter walks through the scenic Village to demonstrations of hearthside cooking and historical crafts to learning about New England history, a visit this winter will be a memorable experience.
We are open Friday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until February 21 after which we extend our hours to Wednesday through Sunday. Plan your visit & Purchase Tickets

Maple Days
February 22nd – 26th and March 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th

See the entire sugar-making process, from tapping the trees to “sugaring off,” and learn why maple sugar was more commonly used than maple syrup in early New England. Learn more here.
Evening of Illumination

Pre-registration is required; MEMBERS ONLY
Enjoy a rare opportunity to tour the Village after dark, lit only by candles, lanterns, and firelight. Learn more here.
February Discovery Adventures for ages 6-14
February 20th – 24th
Pre-registration is required; 3-day and 5-day programs are available
Discovery Adventures are immersive day programs that give kids a chance to step back in time, dress in costume, and experience life in the 1830s. Activities for kids ages 6 – 14 include making a meal over an open hearth or crafting with clay or sketching. Learn more and sign up.
Celtic Celebration

In the 1830s, Irish immigrants came to Worcester County to work on the Blackstone Canal and the railroads. Join us today as we celebrate their cultural heritage through music, dance, storytelling, and poetry. More information coming soon!
