Fundamentals of Furniture Making

Learn more about the fundamental skills and traditional woodworking techniques used in making handcrafted furniture.  Students in this full day course will develop their woodworking skills, gain practical experience working with classic hand tools and learn more about the joinery and construction techniques used in traditional furniture making.

Instructor:
Christopher Nassise is a furniture maker and green woodworker.  He builds handcrafted furniture and teaches woodworking classes throughout the year at his studio, The Green Woodshop, in North Easton, Massachusetts.  Chris is a graduate of the cabinet and furniture making program at the North Bennet Street School in Boston.
