Every year, the Cara Mulligan School of Dance puts on a grand recital to end the school year. One of their more popular traditions is a choreographed Dad’s Dance – where a group of parents take a crash-course in dance choreography and produce an entertaining routine. With participation at an all-time low, Cara decides this year will be the last year of the once-popular Dad’s Dance and wants to go out on a high note.

This year also happens to be the first year that Brendan Carter – a loving Dad who has watched the dance for years from the audience – decides to get up on stage and honor his daughter’s wish to be part of the festivities. What Brendan lacks in skill, he makes up in heart and he soon discovers a group of similar parents who give their all to entertain an audience while making life-long memories for their children. Throughout the show, we watch Brendan bond with his fellow “Dance Dads” while we learn about his touching relationship with his daughter over the years.

Dad’s Dance is a contemporary comedy-drama with some laughs and a lot of heart. It is a celebration of life, friendship, family and the joy-of-dance.
