Discovery Adventures for the summer of 2020 have been canceled. After receiving guidelines on summer programming during Massachusetts’s preliminary reopening phases, it became clear that the Village would not be able to do any of the things that make Discovery Adventures such a special program. Because of this, we have made the difficult decision not to hold the program this summer.

In the meantime, we are developing a few new options for this summer, including a virtual workshop series with supply kits and half-day “Family Camps” where you come as a family unit to participate in hands-on activities at the museum. Please stay tuned for more information about these new programs!

Twice a year, Old Sturbridge Village provides opportunities for kids to get a more in-depth Village experience with three-day and five-day programs. The educators at Old Sturbridge Village have designed the Adventures programs with specific themes and ages in mind. Every Adventure session offers kids the opportunity to explore an aspect of the Village’s history and environment. All programs include an afternoon snack, hands-on crafts, and the chance to learn something new while making lasting friends and memories.
