The thirty-two stars incorporate thirty-three different printed cottons. The white pieces surrounding the stars are stenciled in red, green and yellow, primarily with floral motifs. One of the center blocks is stenciled in red with “Clari/ssa/Moore.” Another block has “1837” marked four times. Backing is composed of panels of block-printed brown and white cotton. The quilt is bound on three sides with pink and white check and across the top with green, pink, black and white plaid. There are 24″ cut-outs at the bottom corners to fit around bed posts.
