Pair of woman’s cream colored silk damask slippers. Heelless. Pleated white silk ribbon ornament on each toe. Possibly the wedding slippers of Mary Carlisle Allen Charles, married in 1830. Printed label inside one slipper reads: “Boots and Shoes, particularly made for John F. Pray, No. 103 Washington Street, Corner of Williams’ Court, Boston.”
