Tall case clock with painted iron dial and eight-day movement. Cherry and white pine case with mahogany and maple inlay. Hood with arched top, pierced fretwork and three fluted plinths with brass finials. Turned and fluted columns with brass capitals. Greek key molding along arch. Waist with fluted quarter columns. Door features an inlaid fan with twenty individual petals made with alternating light and dark woods. Front base panel with string inlay, quarter fan inlays in the corners, and an eight-pointed star inlaid at the center. Base with ogee bracket feet. The case is signed on an interior base panel in chalk: “March/23 1791/Oliver Wight/Sturbridge”
