Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Volunteers and Interns the student intern will assist with the weekly schedule for volunteers and OSV's three intern programs, help coordinate special event volunteer needs and placements, help develop training programs and materials and help the coordiantor with program supervision.
The intern must be available to work with the Volunteer Coordinator two days a week. The intern may opt to work additional days as a costumed historian if so desired and opportunities exist.
This position is offered for academic credit and is not paid. Interested applicants submit a written application and are interviewed (by phone or in person).
Hours:
Internship available year-round: fall semester, spring semester, and summer (June 3 - August 11). The work day is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the museum is open daily (administrative departments operate weekdays only); work schedules vary by department.
