Stagecoach Rides

A visit to Old Sturbridge Village can also include a ride in our historic stagecoach.

Travel around the Common in our reproduction early 19th-century stagecoach and get a feel for early New England travel. (Seating is limited and operation is weather dependent.)

Tickets are $3 per person (children under 3, on lap, are free) and can be purchased outside the Bullard Tavern, where the rides begin.

Be sure to step into the Bar Room at the Bullard Tavern and learn more stagecoaches about the role of a tavern in early New England travel.  Read more about the history of stagecoach travel.

New this year! Pick up a free Frequent Rider Card when you purchase your ticket and get a stamp for every stagecoach, boat ride, and paid Hands-On Craft activity. Collect 10 stamps and get one ride or $5 craft free!
