A time for kids to make new friends, have fun, and most of all to engage in the history of early 19th-century New England. To pay by gift certificate, please call 508 347 0234 or send a request to be contacted.

Registration for Spring Discovery Camps opens in December.  Registration for Summer Discovery Camps opens in February.

Discovery Camp: Winter Adventures in History


(Ages 6-17)



Cold Months, Warm Times
Enroll your child in a program that is entertaining and educational. This two-day program will enhance your child’s understanding of this country’s great past by immersing him/her in the life of a child in the early 1800s. Spend time with hands-on activities that highlight winter life in a rural community. Participants will create a seasonal craft. Yes, it was cold, but even more importantly, it was fun! Citizens in rural New England communities came together to celebrate a years' worth of work at a New Year’s ball. Invitations were sent and fine food was prepared. Join us in this celebration.
$125 for OSV Members; $135 for Non-Members.
