Are weddings offered year round at Old Sturbridge Village?
Yes, but due to the nature of our holiday programming and events at Old Sturbridge Village, holiday weekends are subject to availability.

How many weddings do you perform a day?
Maximum of three – we may book up to two evening receptions and one day reception between the Bullard Tavern within the museum Village and the Oliver Wight Tavern, at the entrance to the museum.

Are outdoor ceremonies allowed?
Yes. However, tents are not allowed inside the village.

Do I need to pay admission for my wedding guests?
No, admission is not required to attend a wedding or ceremony. However, if your quests would like to visit the Village before -- or the day after -- your wedding, they receive discounted admission.

Are we permitted to use rose petals in the Center Meetinghouse?
No. Confetti, rice, birdseed, grasseed, rose petals, and bubbles are not allowed within the Center Meetinghouse. “Silk” rose petals may be permitted in the Center Meetinghouse, if an aisle runner is used and someone in your wedding party has been appointed to clean up the petals upon closure of the ceremony. Bubbles and butterfly releases are permitted outside the Center Meetinghouse only.

If we are having our ceremony at a local church, when can our reception start?
When the ceremony is at an off-site location, receptions may be booked at the Tavern Federal Ballroom and/or Grecian Parlor in a 5-hour block beginning as early as 11:00 a.m.

How late does the bar stay open?
The bar will remain open for a maximum of five hours, and bar service at your wedding reception will conclude 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of your guests.
