Responsibilities:
The Marketing Intern will work closely with the Marketing Director, Marketing Coordinator and Art Director to help promote Old Sturbridge Village through paid advertising, public relations, social media, publications and signage, data analysis, and a strong online presence. The intern(s) will learn about the strategic planning and implementation of each facet of the marketing strategy. Specific tasks will be assigned based on the skills and interests of the intern(s) but may include assisting with photography and photo cataloging, tracking, posting, and tabulating news clips, tracking enewsletter "open" and "click" rates, researching and updating press lists, writing, gathering data, increasing the Village's online presence, and signage preparation.
This position is offered for academic credit and is not paid. Interested applicants submit a written application and are interviewed (by phone or in person). Housing may be available for a fee; contact the internship coordinator for more information. Transportation is not provided.
Hours:
Internship available year-round: fall semester, spring semester, and summer. Flexible schedule during administrative office hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
