A Year of Local Harvests, a year-long series of community events with a focus on locally-grown foods, wraps up on September 26 with a lecture by internationally-recognized author Frances Moore Lappé, whose books include Diet for a Small Planet and Hope's Edge. The lecture is open to the public free of charge, and will be held in the Brewer Theater at Old Sturbridge Village's main entrance, in the Visitor Center.
Following the lecture, there is a Local Harvest Dinner in the
Oliver Wight Tavern.
The 12-month series of "Moveable Feasts: A Year of Local Harvests"
has been sponsored by the Joshua Hyde Library of Sturbridge
in partnership with Old Sturbridge Village,
the Charlton Public Library, and the
Jacob Edwards Library of Southbridge.
