Mark St. Patrick's Day a little early with a mid-day meal at the Oliver Wight Tavern. The Tap Room becomes an Irish pub, featuring traditional Irish and Celtic music, storytelling, and an a la carte menu of Irish fare. Here's a sampling of the menu for the daytime event on Saturday: AppetizersIrish Potato Skins Colcannon Soup Entrees New England Boiled Dinner Guinness Beef Pot Pie Fish & Chips Shepherd's Pie Dessert Strawberry & Apple Compote Guinness Ice Cream with Dark Chocolate Honey Sauce Reservations are required. For more information or reservations, call 508-347-0363. In the evening on Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14, the Oliver Wight Tavern takes on a decidedly Irish accent with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, followed by a concert of traditional Irish and Celtic music performed by Full Gael presented in the nearby Stephen M. Brewer Theater. Sorry, the registration deadline for the evening program has passed. On Sunday morning, March 15, the Irish flavor continues with a St. Patrick's Day Fry-Up. |
