Member Appreciation Night
December 12, 2008

Member Appreciation Night is Friday, December 12, from 5 to 9pm! It will kick off two weekends of Christmas by Candlelight festivities! Among many Christmas by Candlelight highlights are musical performances by many area groups and choirs (and don't forget caroling by our Members!), Village dancers, chestnuts roasting, gingerbread, and sleigh rides!

A special evening has been set aside for you, our members: the Tap Room in the Oliver Wight Tavern will be transformed into your own private Members' Lounge with full bar, eggnog, hot cider and other holiday treats. New: featured will be a Holiday Coupon Tree, decorated with creative discount coupons from local retailers, including: The Bird Store and More; Home; Susan's Secret Garden; Sadie Green's Emporium and Sadie Green's Curiousity Shop; The Quilt & Cabbage; New England Graphics; The Moccasin Shop; The Handmaiden; Briar Patch; The Primitive Cellar; Best Bib & Tucker; The Stone Fish; Paradise Found; Vaillancourt Folk Art; Sturbridge Candy & Gift; Oakwood Farm Christmas Barn; George's Pizza; Kaizen Restaurant; T.J. O'Brien's Restaurant, and many more! Pick your coupons off the tree, and cash them in at local retailers during Christmas by Candlelight weekends! (Limit 5 coupons per membership; store coupons will designate discount, store hours, and store locations). 20% off purchases at the Museum Gift Shop, Miner Grant Store, and the New England Book Store too!

Gents: I highly recommend shopping with your wives on Member Appreciation Night...come relax in the Tap Room with a full cash bar, snacks, eggnog, cider and other festive niblets. You may imbibe, and partake of chess or checkers with other Members while your Significant Other shops until he or she drops!

The Museum Gift Shop will feature two festive fudge flavors: eggnog and candy cane!
