Stop by the Bullard Tavern in our historical Village and learn about stagecoaches in early New England, and the role taverns served along a traveler's route.
Buy a ticket at the Tavern ($3 per person in addition to admission (seating is limited and operation is weather dependent; children under age 3 who ride on a lap are free) and get a feel for early New England travel in our reproduction early 19th-century stagecoach. Step into the Bar Room at the Bullard Tavern, where you can meet up with a character from the 1830s (it could be the innkeeper or a member of his family, or perhaps a fellow traveler).
Old Sturbridge Village's stagecoach runs daily through foliage season, then on weekends in November, including Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after the holiday.
