Harvest Party at the Freeman Farm October 4, 2008 |
In the house, simple refreshments await: donuts fried at the hearth, mulled cider, and pounded cheese. By the fireside there will be storytelling (seasonal and ghost stories), fiddle music and songs, apple-paring games -- where visitors can learn about the significance of throwing the peels -- and a husking bee. This will be a real 19th-century harvest party! At the end of the party, the carry-all brings guests back to the present and returns them to the Visitor Center. Register online now. |
