This special evening event invites you to experience a traditional kiln firing at the Hervey Brooks Pottery Shop. Traditionally, daytime visitors have had the opportunity to watch wood loaded into the kiln, smell the smoke, and feel the heat. This event offers the opportunity to see the glow of the kiln, the sparks from the fire, and woodsmoke billowing into the dark night sky.

Light refreshments of drinks and appetizers served in redware, a cash bar, the potter working at his wheel and hands-on opportunities make this a memorable evening. Related artifacts from the Village's collection are also on display.
