Welcome to Old Sturbridge Village, where early America comes to life! When your groups visit us, they will be immersed in a re-created early 19th century rural New England community. Costumed interpreters demonstrate life in the 1800s in 40 buildings, gardens and working farms.

Please advise your groups to wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing as we are an outdoor museum. Our parking lot has designated motorcoach parking and there is convenient drop-off/pickup for guests near the Visitor Center. Motorcoach services are available in the Sturbridge area.

Each visitor receives a map guide listing the locations and times of the day's special events for a self-guided tour. Well-placed benches enable them to experience the Village at their own pace. (Adult guided and interactive programs are available for an additional fee.)

For the best experience at Old Sturbridge Village, we recommend that you allow at least three hours at our site. Every season lends a different magic to the Village but we encourage you to book early if you are coming during the months of September and October.
